Folding of trousers in prayers?

Answer:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The part of an Izar which hangs below the ankles is in the Fire." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI [Volume 7, Book 72, Number 678]

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "A person who drags his garment in arrogance will not be looked at by Allah on the Day of Rising." MALIK'S MUWATTA [Dress, Book 48, Number 48.5.9]

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: The Prophet said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Apostle! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." The Prophet said, 'You are not one of those who do that out of conceit." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI [Volume 7, Book 72, Number 675]

Thus it is clear that a believer at all times should avoid & abstain from all types of things that beget arrogance & pride for his possession and if wearing the ‘izar’ lower the ankle begets arrogance, then the believer must indeed abstain from it.

The command of prophet(pbuh) is not to hang the lower garments below the ankles for all the times and not only when one offer prayers. But if one folds his trouser only at the times of prayer, then it would not be considered righteousness as Allah says in Quran:

"And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, leave it. And fear Allah: truly Allah is severe in punishment. " [Qur'an 59:7]

If one so fears Allah and wants to make absolutely sure to stay within the letter and the spirit of the law, then it would be safest and absolutely best if one wears clothes whereby the lower garment is above his ankles. Is Masturbation a sin as per the Quran?

Answer:

Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 23 Surah Muminoon verses 1-11:

1 The Believers must (eventually) win through

2 Those who humble themselves in their prayers;

3 Who avoid vain talk;

4 Who are active in deeds of charity;

5 Who abstain from sex,

6 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess; for (in their case) they are free from blame.

7 But those whose desires exceed those limits, are transgressors.

8 Those who faithfully observe their trust and their covenants;

9 And who (strictly) guard their prayers

10 Those will be the heirs

11 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (forever).

The scholars of all schools of thought are unanimous in their opinion that the evil act of ‘masturbation’ would fall under the category of ‘those whose desires exceed the limits’.

The believers, who sincerely fear Allah and the Last Day, are duty bound to stay within the limits prescribed by Allah Subhanah. Those who exceed the limits prescribed by Allah, are indeed transgressors; and Allah does not love the transgressors.

Are shia kaafir/disbelievers?

Answer:

A Muslim is one who testifies that there is no god but Allah & prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is his messenger and submits to Allah's will and who worships God alone without associating any partners with him and believes in the Angels created by Allah; in the prophets through whom His revelations were brought to mankind; in the Day of Judgment and individual accountability for actions.

The prophet (pbuh) said:

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Three things are the roots of faith:

(i) to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah"

(ii) and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits,

(iii) and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action;

and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine decree. Sunan Abu-Dawud [Book 14, Number 2526]

the shias believe that there is no god but Allah and Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is his massager so they become Muslims, however if some Muslims have weakness in their faith or practice, Allah has not given the right to the other believers to ex-communicate him and declare him a non-Muslim! . Only Allah at the Day of Judgment will decide who lived the true Muslim life and who do not. Thus believers should not declare each other disbelievers. The believers are divided into different sects (which Allah did not want) as Allah says in the Quran:

“And hold fast, altogether, by the rope (Quran) Which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves.' [Al-Qur'an 3:103]

and each sect tries to prove other sect wrong. Allah has send down the clear message to the believers as Allah says in the Quran:

“And gave them clear proofs in matters. And they differed not until after the knowledge came to them, through envy among themselves. Verily, your lord will judge between them on the day of resurrection about that wherein they used to differ” [Quran 45:17]

“And verily! This religion (of Islamic monotheism) is one religion, and I am your lord, so keep your duty to me. But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief” [Quran 23:52, 53]

The belivers will be divided into 73 sects and all of them will be In fire except one sect and that is to which prophet & his companions belong as the prophet mohammad (pbuh) said:

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: There will befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il, so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication with his mother there will be among my Ummah one who will do that, and if the people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects my Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, which is that? Whereupon he said: It is one to which I and my companions belong. Al-Tirmidhi [Hadith no. 171]

Conclusion: Thus Anyone who declares the testification of faith that there is no god except Allah, and Mohamed (saws) is His Messenger (saws) will be deemed a believer in the sight of Shariah and Islamic Law; and all the rights that are due to a muslim will be accorded to him.

Can we pray Missed Prayers?

How can we pray the missed prayers of recently prayers and past missed prayers , is there any special way of offering them?

Answer

Allah says in the Quran:

Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.[Quran 4:103]

So it is obligatory for a Muslim to pray five time prayers on the fixed times, how ever if a Muslim brother forgets or misses a prayer for a valid reason then he should pray it as he remembers or as soon as possible. The prophet Mohammad(pbuh) said:

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "If anyone forgets a prayer he should pray that prayer when he remembers it. There is no expiation except to pray the same." Then he recited: "Establish prayer for My (i.e. Allah's) remembrance." (20.14). SAHIH AL-BUKHARI[Volume 1, Book 10, Number 571]

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: On the day of Al-Khandaq (the battle of trench.) 'Umar bin Al-Khattab came cursing the disbelievers of Quraish after the sun had set and said, "O Allah's Apostle I could not offer the 'Asr prayer till the sun had set." The Prophet said, "By Allah! I, too, have not prayed." So we turned towards Buthan, and the Prophet performed ablution and we too performed ablution and offered the 'Asr prayer after the sun had set, and then he offered the Maghrib prayer. SAHIH AL- BUKHARI[Volume 1, Book 10, Number 570]

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatada: My father said, "One night we were traveling with the Prophet and some people said, 'We wish that Allah's Apostle would take a rest along with us during the last hours of the night.' He said, 'I am afraid that you will sleep and miss the (Fajr) prayer.' Bilal said, 'I will make you get up.' So all slept and Bilal rested his back against his Rahila and he too was overwhelmed (by sleep) and slept. The Prophet got up when the edge of the sun had risen and said, 'O Bilal! What about your statement?' He replied, 'I have never slept such a sleep.' The Prophet said, 'Allah captured your souls when He wished, and released them when He wished. O Bilal! Get up and pronounce the Adhan for the prayer.' The Prophet performed ablution and when the sun came up and became bright, he stood up and prayed." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI[Volume 1, Book 10, Number 569]

Allah says in the quran:

“God wants for you ease, He does not want for you difficulty” (2:185).

Nonetheless, missed prayers should be made up immediately, since obligations should be carried out immediately. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) missed the `Asr prayer, he prayed it first then prayed the Maghrib prayer.

However, if someone thinks that he will be unable to pray the current prayer on time or that he will miss the Jumu`ah prayer or miss the opportunity to pray a prayer in congregation if he prays the missed prayer first, he should pray the current prayer first and then make up the missed prayer.

How ever if someone deliberately misses the prayer then he has done a big sin, he should Make up all the missed prayers and should pray for forgiveness and should not miss the prayer deliberately in future. No matter for how long he has missed prayers he should pray them. And Allah Knows The Best.

Can a women cut/shave/pull her unwanted hairs from face?

Answer:

Allah says in the Quran:

"And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, leave it. And fear Allah: truly Allah is severe in punishment. " [Qur'an 59:7]

Prophit mohammad(pbuh) said:

Narrated 'Abdullah: Allah has cursed those women who practise tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those who remove their face hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and such women as change the features created by Allah. Why then should I not curse those whom the Prophet has cursed? And that is in Allah's Book. i.e. His Saying: 'And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).' (59.7) SAHIH AL-BUKHARI[Volume 7, Book 72, Number 815]

The scholars of the Islamic world are in opinion that the above Hadith might be referencing that Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) has forbidden the believing women to remove the hairs from eyebrow or to widen the gape between eyebrows or shaping eyebrows.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Shaving is not a duty laid on women; only clipping the hair is incumbent on them. SUNAN ABU-DAWUD[Book 10, Number 1979]

Narrated Abu Huraira : I heard the Prophet saying. "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and depilating the hair of the armpits." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI[Volume 7, Book 72, Number 779]

The messenger of Allah (saws) said that Allah has cursed the women who plucks or removes hair from their eyebrows. There is no harm if a women removes/cuts/plucks the hair with out shaving which grows on their chin or above their lips. And Allah Knows The Best.

What is Hadith Qudsi?

Answer:

Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority (Sanad) is traced back not to the Prophet but to the Almighty.

"A Sacred Hadith is, as to the meaning, from Allah the Almighty; as to the wording, it is from the messenger of Allah (PBUH). It is that which Allah the Almighty has communicated to His Prophet through revelation or in dream, and he, peace be upon him, has communicated it in his own words. Thus Qur'an is superior to it because, besides being revealed, it is His wording."

Why consumption of alcohol is prohibited in Islam?

Answer:

Allah says in the Quran: O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kind of alcoholic drinks), gambling ,alansab , and alazlam(arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of shaitans(satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful. [Quran 5:90]

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils." [Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3371]

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity, is prohibited even in a small quantity." [Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3392 ]

Not only those who drink alcohol are cursed but also those who deal with them directly or indirectly are cursed by Allah.

reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "God’s curse falls on ten groups of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distils it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one who transports it, the one to who it has been brought, the one whom serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else." [Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3380. ]

SCIENTIFICALY

It is clear that Allah has prohibited the alcohol to Muslims. Today science says us that every human has an inhibitory center in their brains. This inhibitory centre prevents the person from doing things that he considers wrong. For instance a person does not use abusive language while addressing his elders, parents, friends etc. a person will not urinate in the public, but will use the toilet.

When a person consumes alcohol, the inhibitory centre itself is inhibited. That is precisely the reason that an inebriated person is often found to be indulging in behaviour that is completely uncharacteristic of him. For instance the intoxicated person is found to use abusive and foul language and does not realize his mistake even if he is addressing his parents. Many even urinate in their clothes. Neither do they talk nor walk properly. They even misbehave

Cases of adultery, rape, incest and AIDS are found more among alcoholics

Today research tells us that in America approximately 8% of Americans do incest(having sexual intercourse with mother, sister, daughter etc) and the majority of them , either one of them or both of them , they where in a state of intoxication

Today scientific research says that one of the major associated cause of the most deadly disease (AIDS) is alcohol.

Diseases associated with alcoholism

1. Cirrhosis of Liver is the most well known alcohol associated disease.

2. Others are Cancer of Oesophagus, Cancer of Head and Neck, Cancer of Liver (Hepatoma), Cancer of Bowel, etc.

3. Oesophagitis, Gastritis, Pancreatitis and Hepatitis are linked with alcohol consumption.

4. Cardiomyopathy, Hypertension, Coronary Artherosclerosis, Angina and Heart Attacks are linked with heavy alcohol intakes.

5. Strokes, Apoplexy, Fits and different types of Paralysis are linked with alcohol intake.

6. Peripheral Neuropathy, Cortical Atrophy, Cerebellar Atrophy are well-known syndromes caused by alcohol consumption
